The Group has identified local communities as a priority area in our activities to contribute to society.
Our employees work voluntarily and proactively to solve local issues and to contribute to the creation of prosperous communities.
Participation in local festivals, events, and volunteer activities
As a member of the local community, the Group actively participates in local festivals, events, volunteer campaigns, and other activities, while also supporting employees' participation in activities that contribute to society.
The Bank of Yokohama and Higashi-Nippon Bank have set up work-life balance support leave programs that allow employees to participate in community or volunteer activities. The Bank of Yokohama also provides opportunities for volunteer activities and a system that rewards employees' participation in volunteer activities with points that can be used for employee benefit services.

Food drives
Group member the Bank of Yokohama conducts food drives aimed at collecting food items not being used at home for donation to food banks. Items are donated to Food Bank Kanagawa, which delivers the items to single-parent families and households in need of food support.

Volunteer water hand-out at the Yokohama Marathon
The Yokohama Marathon is a large-scale athletic event hosting over 20,000 runners. Employees of Group member the Bank of Yokohama take part as volunteers handing out water and helping to liven up the event.

Bank of Yokohama Ice Arena
Since 2015, Group member the Bank of Yokohama has held naming rights to the Kanagawa Skating Rink. The Bank engages in collaborative activities with the Yokohama Sport Association.
Since 2022, the Bank has held classes for parents and children in a program friendly to beginning skaters. The participation fees for these classes are donated to the Yokohama City Children's Sports Fund, contributing to creating an environment in which children with disabilities can take part in local sports activities.

Yokohama Children’s Hospice – A Home of Sea and Sky
Yokohama Children's Hospice - A Home of Sea and Sky in Kanazawa Ward is a community hospice for children who face life-threatening conditions (LTCs) and their families. The facility is run by nurses, childcare workers, and other staff and volunteers who seek to create a "second home" that makes children's wishes come true.
Endorsing the philosophy and activities of the hospice, Group member the Bank of Yokohama offers support for the facility through donations and through cooperation with PR activities to widen the circle of people who understand and support the hospice's activities.

Art de Vivre
The Bank of Yokohama Group supports the social welfare organization Art de Vivre in the city of Odawara as part of its efforts to respect diversity in the local community and to encourage participation in society by persons with disabilities.
Art de Vivre provides facility users who have disabilities with opportunities for creative activities, with a focus on art. At the Bank of Yokohama, we hold art exhibitions at our head office and Odawara branch, as well as organize artwork sales events specifically for employees at our head office.

The Hamagin Foundation for Promotion of Industry and Culture
Established in 1988 by Group member the Bank of Yokohama,The Hamagin Foundation for Promotion of Industry and Culture actively engages in industrial and cultural promotion activities to benefit local residents. Activities include overseas dispatch of employees of local small and medium-sized companies, publication of the cultural information magazine "My Way," holding The Hamagin Foundation Fureai Concert series, and operating the rental venue Hamagin Hall VIA MARE.
